Step 2: Building the Timber Frame Base
Next, we manufacture and install the treated timber frame onto the ground screws. Because each frame is built to the exact size of your garden room, you get a strong, accurate foundation for the rest of the build.
Step 3: Insulating the Base & Starting the Wall Frames
We fit 100mm insulation boards between the joists to create a warm, energy‑efficient base. After this, we begin erecting the timber wall frames.
Step 4: Constructing the Timber Walls
With the base complete, we build the full timber frame walls, leaving openings for your chosen doors and windows. At this stage, the internal joists remain open so we can install insulation later.
Step 5: Building the Roof & Weatherproofing the Structure
We then construct the timber roof frame and install a breather membrane on the walls. This membrane prevents moisture from reaching the OSB boards, helping protect the structure from dampness.
Step 6: Installing Electrics & Full Insulation
At this point, we run all required electrical wiring through the walls. Once complete, we fit 100mm insulation boards into the walls and roof between the joists. This ensures excellent thermal performance all year round.
